Senses in Southern India

the sun rises
bringing tropical heat:

turmeric smiles
show coconut, white teeth

a papaya tongue
shapes rounded words

neem breezes
sway termite trunks

as motorcycles
wind down dirt paths

ageless brown bodies
move underneath cotton

ageless brown fingers
weave palm thatched roofs

ageless brown feet
jingle with small bells

the sun sets
bringing a desert cool:

birds in concert
begin singing the night story

  1. >Sorry for the delay in responding. My boyfriend met your friend Melissa and Sachen in Chile. I am looking to take a yoga teacher training course in India around March/April time frame. Your friends thought you might have some recommendations based on your travels. Aloha, Tracytracylea4555@gmail.com
